What Are The Requirements To Get A Coach Assigned DUPR With Wingfield?

  • ☑️ Your Wingfield account must be connected to your DUPR account.
  • ☑️ A DUPR verified coach must be present during your assessment to submit your Coach Assigned DUPR Rating officially.

How Do I Get A Coach Assigned DUPR With Wingfield?

1. Connect Your Accounts

Before starting your assessment, link your Wingfield account with your DUPR account in the Wingfield App...

  • ➡️ Open the Wingfield App
  • ➡️ Navigate to your profile
  • ➡️ Hit "Connect DUPR" and follow the instructions

2. Play a Player Assessment with the Wingfield Box

Once your account is linked to DUPR, you can check in to the Wingfield System and play a Player Assessment with a verified DUPR Coach. This consists of two main parts:

a) Series of 24 Drills
The first assessment part consists of 24 drills and takes at least 25 minutes to complete. Each drill generates an individual AI-generated score, which is then combined into 5 different DUPR skill areas:

  • 🧬 Serve
  • 🧬 Return
  • 🧬 Non-Bounced Volley
  • 🧬 Dinking
  • 🧬 3rd Shot Drop

b) Match-like Gameplay

To complement the assessment, you must also play a short game-like sequence (e.g., Doubles or Skinny Singles). This is used by the coach to assess:

  • 🧬 Kitchen Readiness
  • 🧬 Court Positioning
  • 🧬 Partner Chemistry

These elements must be manually rated and entered by the coach at the Wingfield Box based on your performance in the game.

3. Submitting the projected DUPR  (DUPR Coach required)

Your projected DUPR Rating is calculated from the average of all 8 individual skill ratings:

  • 5 skill ratings calculated from the drills, generated by the Wingfield AI (Serve, Return, Non-Bounced Volley, Dinking, 3rd Shot Drop)

  • 3 skill ratings from matchplay, evaluated by the coach and entered manually (Kitchen Readiness, Court Position, Partner Chemistry)

Once the assessment is completed, the score can be officially submitted and counts as your first Coach Assigned DUPR.

To finalize the submission, the verified DUPR coach must complete two steps:

  1. ➡️ Submission on the Wingfield Box
To submit the Coach Assigned DUPR, the DUPR Coach must be logged into the Wingfield system with their Wingfield Coach account.
  2. ➡️ Submission in the DUPR Coach App
The coach must also log in to the DUPR Coach App, enter the same 8 individual skill ratings, and submit the final coach-assigned DUPR in the DUPR Coach App.

☝🏻 By the way, the coach can also log in just before submitting the DUPR, in case you forgot to do it before starting the assessment

What if you haven’t connected your DUPR account yet?

If you have already played an assessment but haven’t linked your DUPR account to your Wingfield account yet, no worries! Your coach can submit your Projected DUPR rating, and you will have 14 days to connect your account in the Wingfield App.

  • If you connect your account within 14 days, your rating will be submitted to DUPR automatically.
  • If you fail to connect your account within that timeframe, the rating will expire and not be submitted.

Can a Coach Assigned DUPR replace an existing DUPR Rating?

No, a projected DUPR rating does not replace an existing DUPR rating. Instead, it serves as an initial estimate for new players who don’t yet have a DUPR rating. If you already have a DUPR rating—based on match history—the projected rating won’t overwrite it. DUPR continues to use your match results to calculate and update your official rating over time.
