These funding programs can be applied to the Wingfield Court

In this article, we have compiled a list of federal and state funding programs our clients have (successfully) applied for.

Various funding programs support associations (and SMEs) in implementing digital projects. Investments in one (or more) Wingfield Court(s) have already been successfully subsidized. In this article, you will find...

1) An overview of existing programs

2) Tips and help with the application

⚠️ Attention: This article does not claim to represent the fragmented funding landscape in its entirety, nor is it always up to date in terms of content. Furthermore, we cannot guarantee that funding applications will always be approved, as decisions are sometimes based on different criteria, and funding pots are finite.

The sponsors of public funding programs are ministries at the federal and state levels, foundations, and sports associations of the states and municipalities. While digitization funding is usually approved and coordinated by larger pacts at the federal or state level, smaller infrastructure projects or projects to maintain sports operations can often be funded at the municipal level or by the sports associations. If none of the programs listed apply to you, check with all these organizations in your region.

1) Programs at a glance

Since funding programs sometimes vary widely and are often only available regionally, we list the opportunities we know for which applications have already been submitted. So that you know, applications that have already been approved are marked accordingly.

⚠️ Attention: Since the processing of applications often takes several months, we are not yet able to make any statements about the expected success of some programs.

2) Help with the application

In principle, the legal requirements must be observed for all funding measures. Before applying, check the funding guidelines to see what can be funded.

Usually, these guidelines are formulated as generally as possible so as not to exclude innovative or previously unknown projects in advance. You are unlikely to find a funding guideline that is geared 1:1 to the acquisition of a Wingfield Court. Here, it is essential to interpret your project's intentions according to the funding purpose.

☝🏼 By the way: Check your association funding guidelines, which regulate what an association may and may not accept. There are also guidelines for promoting associations, which can differ from municipality to municipality.

Description of your investment:

When applying, you will always be asked to describe the investment. Here, you must assume that the application examining body cannot imagine anything about a Wingfield Court. Therefore, try to explain Wingfield in a way that even a non-tennis-playing person can "get to grips" with the subject.

Sample descriptions of the planned investment

We plan to install a smart net post in our tennis club to track all activities on the court. Using artificial intelligence, this data will be analyzed and made available to the users via an app. Coaches and players can evaluate match-related data (such as player development or shot statistics). Especially for our youth development, we consider this possibility a great advantage. We have X coaches who want to integrate the system into their practice. The usage period lasts for several years.

Wingfield offers a camera-based system for on-court analysis. Fixed cameras on the net post and fence monitor the activities on the court. Ball speed, impact points, and movements are measured. All data, such as video footage and playing analysis, can then be accessed via mobile devices. The German Tennis Federation uses the system as a control system for official matches and thus also offers recreational players a great opportunity to flexibly improve their performance level away from official tournaments.

Description of the project:

In addition to the general description of the Wingfield Court, the primary objective will be to explain conclusively what goals are to be achieved with the investment and what expected contribution Wingfield will make to achieving these goals.

Is your facility to be modernized through Wingfield, for example, to attract new members, or are existing programs to be launched around Wingfield, for example, to intensify cooperation with schools? The purpose of the purchase can vary and should be carefully adapted to your expectations and the funding guidelines.

Sample description of the project

Wingfield is an excellent tool for our aspiring youth to monitor their progress. Video-based training analysis helps to make the proper adjustments for improvement. We are convinced of the technical progress and see the system as a future-oriented investment in our youth work and our sports offer.
