Outdoors, too bright ambient light can often lead to problems with recognising the codes. Always make sure that the screen brightness of your smartphone is set to the highest level. Sometimes it also can be helpful to position yourself between the sun and the Wingfield Box in order to spend shadow.
A too slow internet connection of the Wingfield Box can also lead to the registration process to be cancelled. Just try it again or directly use your personal pin code instead of scanning your QR code.
