Avoid these mistakes to get the most accurate stats and data possible.
Tip 1 | Avoid unfavorable lighting conditions
You can compare the Wingfield Box's cameras with the human eye. Since our tracking is camera-based, light conditions may greatly impact the tracking quality. Remember that a dark environment or too strong backlight might lead to inaccurate results. This mainly applies to outdoor installations and extreme conditions. Normal conditions on an outdoor court usually pose no problems. Just keep it in mind if the results seem strange to you.
Tip 2 | Don't block the view
During practice, it can always happen that someone stands in front of the Wingfield Box and blocks its view of the court. The system can already do many things, but unfortunately, looking through people is impossible yet. 😜
💡Tip: Also, prevent people (e.g., coaches) from standing directly behind you from the Wingfield Box perspective. In the worst case, the Wingfield Box could associate their movements with yours. However, we have built-in mechanisms to prevent people in the background of the court from being tracked. Try to avoid it as much as possible on your court to be safe.
Tip 3 | Choose sides correctly
Remember, the Wingfield Box tracks the statistics for each half of the court. So ensure you always play on the side where you are checked in. If you change sides during a running session, you can always make changes on the touch screen of the Wingfield Box.
Tip 4 | Only one player per side
The system also tracks only one player per side. Ensure there is only one person on each side when you exercise with your players.
☝🏼 By the way: This does not apply to the doubles mode in matches (release Q4/2024). In this session type the Wingfield Box tracks all stats on team level, so two players per side will be fine here.
