# Drive Drills with Wingfield | Pickleball
## In this tutorial you will learn how to work on your drives with a ball machine and the drill mode.
In this training session, Carson focuses on various skills with the ball machine and tries to improve them round by round. The easy-to-understand drill scores give him direct feedback on whether he has achieved his practice goal.
In this training session with the ball machine, Carson works specifically on the skills of precision / control and speed / intensity. He tries to improve the focussed skills round by round. Using the drill scores in **[drill mode](https://help.wingfield.io/en/pickleball/drill-mode?hsLang=en)**, he can quickly check whether he has achieved his goal.+
---
**Practice goal:**
Throughout multiple drills, focus on enhancing your precision deliberately while initially prioritizing control over speed. Once you feel more confident and in command of your skills, progressively ramp up the intensity of your practice.
---
**Wingfield Box settings:**
1. Turn on [***Drill mode***](https://help.wingfield.io/en/pickleball/drill-mode?hsLang=en)
2. Select ***1 player*** (at the top of the screen)
3. Click on ***Drive***
4. Select the ***Player***
5. Select the ***Level*** (Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced, Expert) or create a ***Custom Drill***
6. Click on ***Start Drill***
**💡Tip:** Always play the same number of shots so that you can compare the scores of each round.
