Drill mode is a fun way to encourage your members to be active and go out on court during club parties, tournaments, league match days, or even during daily club life.
Step 1: Define your Drill challenge ποΈ
The challenge will be played in drill mode! To keep things fair and square for everyone, participants need to know the settings they should tweak on the Wingfield Box before diving into the drill.
- Choose a drill type and the level, players should compete it. β e.g. serve (deuce) in Advanced level
- Define the time period of the challenge β e.g. until end of the month
- Set prizes for the top three winners β e.g...
- 1. place: Membership upgrade for one year π
- 2. place: A new tennis/pickleball racket π
- 3. place: Two guest passes π«
- Start the communication (use your Social Media channels, Newsletter, club apps etc.)
π‘Tip: To use the rankings in the app later as a live view of the current ranking, always select the time period according to the available filter options.
βπΌBy the way: Depending on the drill type, the exercise must be played as a basket exercise with a partner feeding the balls or (if available) with a ball machine.
Step 2: Play the drill π―
To join the challenge, attendees simply have to play the drill in the defined settings using the Wingfield Box. The players automatically appear with their personal high scores in your club ranking, which can be called up at any time in the Wingfield app.
π‘Tip: Front desk teams, coaches and other officials should be able to answer all questions about the challenge. Since your staff at the counter is the first point of contact for members at the club, have them regularly promote the challenge throughout the week.
- Log in to the Wingfield Box with your own account (so that you appear in the ranking list)
- Select the Drill Mode
- Select the [SELECTED DRILL TYPE] β e.g. Serve (Deuce)
- Select the [SELECTED SKILL LEVEL] β e.g. Advanced
- Click on Start drill
β οΈ Attention: For a drill to appear in the ranking list, you must have played at least ten shots. At best, mention this again in the conditions of participation.
Step 3: Celebrate the winners π
Of course, you don't have to create your own ranking list for your challenge and update it manually. That's what our leaderboards in the Wingfield app are for. To display the ranking list for your selected challenge combination, you need to use the filter function of the ranking lists.
- Open the Wingfield app
- Click on Explore at the bottom of the navigation bar
- Navigate to Rankings
- Select the [SELECTED DRILL TYPE]
- Click on the filter icon to filter the rankings according to your preferences
