Blueprint: Drill Challenge

Activate your members to go on court, turn on Wingfield and challenge each other.

Drill mode is a fun way to encourage your members to be active and go out on court during club parties, tournaments, league match days, or even during daily club life. Check out this blueprint of a drill challenge you can set up using your Wingfield Box!

Step 1: Define your Drill challenge πŸŽ›οΈ

The challenge will be played in drill mode! To keep things fair and square for everyone, participants need to know the settings they should tweak on the Wingfield Box before diving into the drill.

  1. Select the drill type and the level, players should compete it. β†’ e.g. serve (deuce) in Advanced level
  2. Define the time period of the challenge  β†’ e.g. until end of the month
  3. Set prizes for the top three winners, e.g.
    • 1. place: Membership upgrade for one year πŸ’š
    • 2. place: A new tennis/pickleball racket πŸ“
    • 3. place: Two guest passes 🎫
  4. Start the communication (use your Social Media channels, Newsletter, etc.)

πŸ’‘Tip: To use the rankings in the app as a later live view of the current ranking, always select the time period according to the available filter options.

Step 2: Play the drill 🎯

To join the challenge, simply play the drill in the defined settings using the Wingfield Box. The players automatically appear with their personal high scores in your club ranking, which can be called up at any time in the Wingfield app.

Coaches and other officials should be able to answer all questions about the challenge. Depending on the drill type, the exercise must be played as a basket exercise with a person feeding the ball or (if available) with a ball machine.

  1. Log in to the Wingfield Box with your own account (so that you appear in the ranking list)
  2. Select the drill mode
  3. Select the [SELECTED DRILL TYPE] β†’ e.g. Serve (Deuce)
  4. Select the [SELECTED SKILL LEVEL] β†’ e.g. Advanced
  5. Click on Start drill

⚠️ Attention: For a drill to appear in the ranking list, you must have played at least ten shots. At best, mention this again in the conditions of participation.

Step 3: Celebrate the winners πŸŽ‰

Of course, you don't have to create your own ranking list for your challenge and update it manually. That's what our ranking lists in the Wingfield app are for. To display the ranking list for your selected challenge combination, you need to use the filter function of the ranking lists.

  1. Open the Wingfield app
  2. Click on Explore at the bottom of the navigation bar
  3. Navigate to Rankings
  4. Select the [SELECTED DRILL TYPE]
  5. Click on the filter icon to filter the rankings according to your preferences
