How to determine the perfect spot for your Wingfield Court

In this article you will find out how the Wingfield Court is set up and all the things you should consider when choosing your court.πŸ•΅πŸΌβ€β™€οΈ

Net post πŸ”˜

The Wingfield Box replaces the net post without tensioning mechanism. Make sure right from the start that your net post is not set in concrete and that its socket is not exorbitantly inclined (an inclined box may reduce the "field of view" of the cameras on the court).

unvalid netpost

❌ The depth of the existing ground socket is less than 23cm
❌ The ground socket is tighter than 6,3cm at its narrowest point

With the integrated net post and our included adapters we cover the common ground socket diameters (round: 76mm or 83mm; square: 80x80mm).

Visual conditions πŸ‘€

To ensure perfect tracking, you should consider that daylight sources are mostly located in the "back" of the Wingfield Box. Indoors, these are often large windows (see below for an example of a very shaded area).

πŸ’‘Tip: When choosing your outdoor location, keep in mind that shaded areas or backlighting from the sun can also affect the image quality of the Baseline camera.

Internet & power πŸ”Œ

To get your Wingfield Court up and running, you will need to provide power and internet connection at the court. Depending on the conditions at your facility, this will of course also affect the choice of the court.

Wingfield Box and PoE switch each require a power connection (230V). The maximum power of the Wingfield Court is about 200W (Wingfield Box β‰ˆ 140W + PoE-Switch 60W). The power consumption can be expected to be 5W in standby and 70W during use.

In order to access your data quickly after playing, we recommend an upload speed of at least 10mbit/s.

➑️ Tips for your Internet

πŸ’‘Tip: If you already have an internet connection, you can easily test its speed at www.speedtest.net. The test of a WIFI signal should be done on the chosen court.

Usage 🎾

Think about how you want to use the system. Should the system only be used by the coaches on one of the training courts or should each of your clients / members have the chance to use Wingfield?

πŸ’‘Tip: If you don't want to directly equip several of your courts, we recommend starting with the training court first. By integrating Wingfield firmly into the training, its use outside of the training will quickly become normal.
