Here you can find out which components of the Wingfield Court need a power supply and what you need to consider when we talk about power cables. ⚡️
Before you can install your Wingfield Court, you must have an internet connection as well as a power supply at the court. Both the Wingfield Box and the PoE switch require a separate power source (230V).
💡 Tip: If the power supply is provided by a freely accessible power source (normal socket), make sure that connections cannot be accidentally cut in daily use.
What you need to consider when powering the PoE switch:
Connectors
The maximum power of the PoE switch is 60W (real consumption 5W - 10W). Depending on the installation location (indoor vs. outdoor) the minimum requirements for the plugs vary.
Indoor: A normal socket (type F) is sufficient here.
Outdoor: For weatherproof outdoor installation, the switch should be connected directly to a three-core power cable (see picture). An appropriate power cable should be laid to the location of the switch.
Cabling
Depending on where the PoE switch is placed, its power line will run far away from the court. Therefore, you have several options to conceal the cables. Here you can find articles about the different options:

What you need to consider when powering the Wingfield Box:
Connectors
The maximum power of the Wingfield Box is about 140W. Depending on the installation location (indoor vs. outdoor) the minimum requirements for the plugs vary.
Indoor: A normal socket (type F) is sufficient here.
Outdoor: In this case, make sure that the power connections on the box are waterproof. Either a weatherproof plug connector (type F Schuko plug - see picture) should be used or the entire connection should be placed in a weatherproof housing.
Cable length
To ensure that the power cables laid to the box are long enough to be able to connect them properly later, they should first be laid up to the top edge of the existing network post.
Cabling
As you can probably imagine the short distance from the edge of the court to the Wingfield Box must be bridged. Depending on your aesthetic preferences and installation location, you have various options here.
Indoor:
